Adding a sale in eTIMS via Slade360 eTIMS APIs is essential for generating a valid tax invoice, ensuring compliance with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Steps to Add a Sale
- Select the create sales invoice
Within the Sales Management module, click the create sale invoice or direct sales invoice button to begin. - Input Sale Details
Fill in the required details for the sale:- Customer Information
- Select an existing customer from the database or add a new customer.
- Include the customer’s name, KRA PIN, and contact information.
- Branch Details
Specify the branch handling the sale to ensure branch-level tracking. - Item or Service Information
Add the goods or services being sold, including:- Item Name/Description
- Quantity
- Unit Price
- Applicable Tax Rates (e.g., VAT)
- Payment Terms
- Indicate the payment method (e.g., cash, mobile money, credit).
- Specify payment terms such as credit periods or discounts, if applicable.
- Invoice Type
Choose the type of tax invoice to be generated (e.g., credit, cash). - Sale Date
Record the date the sale was made.
- Customer Information
- Add Discounts or Additional Charges (Optional)
Include any applicable discounts or surcharges, such as delivery fees or promotional offers. - Review the Sale Summary
- Verify all the entered details, including item quantities, prices, and taxes.
- Ensure that the total amount is accurate.
- Save and Generate Invoice
Click Save to record the sale in the system.
The system will automatically generate a tax-compliant sales invoice with a unique invoice number. - Share the Invoice with the Customer
Print or email the invoice to the customer as proof of the transaction.
